ContractApp FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Billing, Plans & Credits

1.1 What payment methods do you accept?

1.1 What are credits? How does the credit pool work?

ContractApp usage is metered through credits from a shared credit pool under your Plan. Every AI task you run — contract review, drafting, legal research, due diligence and so on — consumes credits from this pool. Your remaining balance is always visible in your in-app billing dashboard.

1.2 How many credits does a task consume?

It depends on the context window, the complexity of the task, and whether it is a single-task operation or involves multiple AI orchestration:

- A typical task consumes around 500 – 600 credits

- A complex task or matter may consume more than 1,000 – 2,000 credits

Tip: We strongly encourage you to use effective prompts and save them as Skills so you can reuse them — this significantly reduces credit consumption over time.

1.3 How do credits refresh on a monthly (Stripe) plan?

If you subscribe via a monthly Stripe plan:

- Your credit usage is capped at your Plan's monthly limit

- Unused credits do not roll over to the next month

- At the beginning of each new billing month, your credits are automatically refilled to your full monthly plan credits.

1.4 How do credits work on an annual (offline) plan?

If you subscribe via annual payment (onboarded directly by us):

- There is no monthly cap — your full yearly credit allocation is available from day one

- Yearly credits sit in a shared pool for your firm

- All team members can draw from the pool without restriction, up to the total yearly credits allocated under your Plan

1.5 What happens if I run out of credits?

You will see a message indicating your credit pool is exhausted. Your options are:

- Renewal existing Plan; or

- Purchase a credit top-up (where available on your Plan)

- Monthly plans: wait for your next billing date, when credits auto-refill

Your documents, matters, and work product are saved — nothing is lost.

1.6 What payment methods do you accept?

Monthly plans are billed through Stripe, which accepts all major credit and debit cards. Your payment information is securely processed and stored by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Annual enterprise plans may be invoiced directly.

1.7 Is there a free trial?

We may offer a free trial period, promotional credits, or special discounts at our discretion. No subscription fees are payable during a free trial, and there is no obligation to subscribe afterwards. Trial offers may vary between clients and may be amended or withdrawn at any time.

1.8 Can I get a refund?

Fees are payable in advance for each billing cycle and, except as required by law, are non-refundable. Where a free trial is available, you can fully evaluate ContractApp before committing to a paid Plan. You may cancel at any time to prevent future billing, but no refunds are issued for the current or any prior billing period. If a technical issue prevents you from using the Service, contact us and we will work to resolve it promptly.

2. AI Assistance & Your Professional Responsibility

2.1 Does ContractApp replace lawyers?

No. ContractApp uses AI to assist — not replace — the professional judgment of qualified legal practitioners. It is a productivity tool, not a substitute for the human review, verification, and independent legal judgment that must remain part of every legal task.

2.2 Can AI-generated outputs contain errors?

Yes. AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or references to outdated laws, regulations, or sources. You must independently review and verify any output — and where appropriate, have a qualified professional check it — before relying on it, filing it, or sending it to a client or counterparty.

2.3 Who is responsible for work produced using ContractApp?

You are. You remain solely and fully responsible for all legal work, advice, filings, and other tasks performed using the Service, and for exercising professional judgment consistent with your professional and regulatory obligations.

2.4 Does ContractApp provide legal advice?

No. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client or equivalent professional relationship is created between you and us.

3. Licence & Acceptable Use

3.1 What am I allowed to do with ContractApp?

Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use ContractApp — including the Clause Library and Forms & Precedents — solely for your own or your firm's internal legal and business purposes.

3.2 Can I share or resell the Clause Library or Forms & Precedents?

No. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise make the Clause Library, Forms & Precedents, or any other part of the Service available to any third party as a standalone product or service, whether for a fee or free of charge.

3.3 Are there other restrictions I should know about?

Yes. You must not, and must not permit any third party to:

- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code, underlying models, or architecture of the Service

- Use the Service to build, train, or improve a competing product or service

- Systematically scrape, bulk-extract, or copy the Clause Library or Forms & Precedents for use outside the Service

4. Your Data, Privacy & Security

4.1 Who owns the documents I upload or generate?

You do. All documents, templates, precedents, work product, and other information you upload or generate through the Service remain your property. We do not sell or commercially exploit your confidential information or that of your clients.

4.2 How is my data processed?

We process the data you submit solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Service, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, Security Policy, and the Data Processing Agreement (Annex A of our Terms of Service). This includes appropriate technical and organisational safeguards and the use of vetted sub-processors where necessary to operate the Service.

4.3 Is my client-confidential information protected?

Yes. Both parties are bound by confidentiality obligations that survive termination. We may use de-identified or aggregated usage insights for Service improvement and research, but these never include client-identifiable confidential information.

4.4 What happens to my data if I leave?

On termination, we provide a reasonable opportunity to retrieve your data before deletion. You may also request earlier deletion, subject to any retention we are required by law to maintain.

5. Subscription Management

5.1 Does my subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Your subscription renews automatically for each billing cycle unless cancelled in accordance with your Plan's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your billing dashboard at any time.

5.2 What happens if I miss a payment?

Failure to pay amounts due when due is a material breach of the Agreement, and we may suspend the Service or terminate the Agreement. To avoid interruption, keep your payment method up to date in the billing dashboard.

5.3 Can pricing or credit allowances change?

We may change Plan pricing or credit allowances for future billing cycles on reasonable prior notice. Changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

6. Legal

6.1 Which terms govern my use of ContractApp?

Your use is governed by the ContractApp Terms of Service (Services & Subscription Agreement), together with the ai2bundle.co Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Security Policy incorporated by reference. Where they conflict, the ContractApp-specific terms govern.

6.2 What law applies, and how are disputes resolved?

The Agreement is governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute is resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) under the SIAC Rules, with the seat in Singapore, one arbitrator, and English as the language of arbitration. Both parties commit to working together in good faith towards a practical resolution before pursuing formal dispute resolution.
